Community Helpers is such a fun theme to introduce young children to! There are fantastic opportunities for play and incursions that can be included in your program. It is also such a wonderful theme for finding out what the children want to do when they grow up.

Community Helpers Curriculum Plan
The basis for my programming is always play. I start by brainstorming all my indoor and outdoor play ideas. This Curriculum is editable to each week you can add new ideas and make this work for you. The focus of this plan is play. Each week we focus on a “Community Helper”. i love to introduce new aspects to our dramatic play each week! So exciting to see the children so engaged!

Each week as we focus on a Community Helper we can print off these sheets and collage, paint, colour our Community Helper.
Community Helpers Classroom Banner
Each term I love to create a new classroom banner. This banner is 3m by 1.5m and the kids absolutely love it! They love creating art work that matches the banner! I can do smaller sizes, just let me know.
