Ladybug Craft

The children have been fascinated with insects and spiders the last week and this is where our Ladybug craft comes in. We painted rocks with a few coats of red paint and then added dots using a black marker. In our conversations we spoke about symmetry and how the dots on the ladybug rocks is symmetrical. We looked and talked about butterfly wings and how we can see symmetry in nature.

I think these bugs are so cute. We even added them to our sensory table. Vey cute!

Lady Bug Poem

Ladybug!  Ladybug!
Fly away home.
Your house is on fire.
And your children all gone.

All except one,
And that’s little Ann,
For she crept under
The frying pan.
